I offer two beginner classes. The 1st class is for someone who is a little more serious about wanting to learn pottery. This class is for true beginners, those that have never sat down at a potters wheel before but want to. This class is for those a little more serious about wanting to learn something new. We will be using the potters wheel and throwing pots. We will focus on centering the clay, moving the clay up, out and all around to form mugs, bowls and perhaps some plates. In this class everyone will be starting at zero or nearly zero and working our way up. I find it’s best to come to class with no expectations except to have some fun and learn something new. And this class is FUN. $425 per 8 week class and studio time. This class includes 25lbs of clay, glazes and all the firings. If you find that you need more clay it's only $20.00 for an additional 25lbs.
The 2nd class is for those that want to get their feet wet and experience what its like to throw a pot. This class will get a little more help form me in centering and focuses more on the experience of making pottery.
