There are two intensive classes for intermediate potters. Both of these classes meet twice a week at 6pm for 4 weeks, with studio time available durring the week.

The 1st intesive class focuses on mugs and handles. Class starts on April 3rd and meets twice a week for the month of April. This class is for the intermediate potter who is still looking for their unique style. The class will be structured so that we focus on mug shape in the 1st class and handles in the next class. We will continue this structure for 3 weeks. In the 4th week we will glaze our mugs and see the finished pieces.

This is an intense class for those potters who really want to define their mug style. Students can expect to walk away with at least 6 mugs of various shapes and sizes with unique handle designs. After this class you will have found a style of mug that makes your heart happy.

The second intensive class will focus on Bowls and what makes a good functional bowl. Class starts on September 4th and meets twice a week for 4 weeks with studio time available during the week.

Bowls teach us so much and we really learn the most when making a good bowl. We learn to push the clay to its limit and a little bit further. The class will be sturctured so that in the 1st class of the week we will focus on bowl form and opening a wide bowl. In the next class we will focus on trimming. Exploring what makes a good foot and how to know when you have trimmed enough weight from the bottom. We will continue this structure for 3 weeks with the 4th week glazing and seeing our finished bowl

Students can expect to walk away with at least 6 bowls of various shapes and sizes, having learned how to throw a successful bowl shape and what style of bowl you like the most.

You need to have some experience in throwing. These classes are not for beginners.

Your clay and glazes are provided, but you will need your own tools.
